How to decorate for an amazing Barn Wedding.
It might seem overwhelming - the thought of decorating a empty barn and making it look amazing for your wedding - but it really isn't hard. There are plenty of people who can help. Tammy of Hudson Valley Vintage Rentals, took a barn that was already beautiful empty and gave it atmosphere and warmth with all of the vintage rentals she provided. From the furniture to the china, silverware, props. and so much more ... it all can be found on her website. Just click on a category to look at all of her amazing vintage offerings. She searches far and wide for these treasures, and has a warehouse of them, so she can probably find you anything you can imagine.

And if you are really inspired, have boundless energy and the help of family and friends, you can possibly do it yourself. DIY takes a lot of organization - but make sure you are up for it before you begin. But I have had couples who very successfully did it themselves as you see in these photos below. Pick a theme and then work with it gathering what you need... and start a good year before the wedding. (this couple did). You will need that much time to search out all of the props you need. Or you could pick a few things you want to search for and rent the major ones, like furniture and china, silverware, etc. Also, sometimes your caterer provides stands for Cakes - make sure you like what they provide.
I the image above and the 5 images below you will see the wedding I photographed at Shadow Lawn of Zoe and Chris. They did really an amazing job and I learned so much from them about DIY. They told me it took a year to collect all the items, with the help of family and friends.
Zoe and Chris's wedding was published on Rustic Wedding Chic when I submitted it, and they named it one of the top 10 Barn Weddings of the Year!!
Some venues provide some items. For example A PRIVATE ESTATE and BARN ON THE POND both provide outdoor seating around a fire-pit for your after party, among other things. Click on their names and you will go straight to their website and you can check them out.
Their Library theme was a big hit!
And do not forget about a vintage car!!
In the future look for a new category devoted to VINTAGE CARS!
